13 Celebs Who Make Faux Fur Look Fabulous

Ariana Grande on the red carpet

Wearing a fur coat is seen by many as a classic, Hollywood look. However, the cruelty to animals behind the scenes at fur farms is not so glamorous, with many animals – such as minks, foxes, and rabbits – subjected to cramped and torturous conditions.

However, the good news is there are plenty of vegan fur coats out there that make you feel just as stylish but without any of the guilt. Here are 13 celebrities who prove that harming animals is an unnecessary factor when shopping for a super stylish, glamorous, Hollywood-ready fur coat.

13 Celebs Who Ooze Hollywood Glamour in Vegan Fur

1. Ariana Grande

It feels like Singer-songwriter Ariana Grande has hit the headlines for pretty much everything recently, from Japanese BBQ tattoos to record-breaking chart rankings. However, some may not be aware that Grande is a vegan, and has been since 2013. The star is an animal lover, and currently, she owns nine rescue dogs (as well as her pet pig, Piggy Smallz). She also loves a bit of vegan fashion, and recently wore a super glamorous faux fur coat by Marei 1998 out and about in New York City.

2. Dua Lipa

Although we don’t know much about musician Dua Lipa’s diet choices, we do know she likes to wear vegan fur. She recently sported a faux fur coat made by veggie designer Stella McCartney in Los Angeles. Leading fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue said of the singer’s outfit choice, “rocking a fake look has never looked so good.”

3. Khloe Kardashian

The Kardashians and ethical fashion aren’t always put together in the same sentence. However, it seems like the family might be turning over a new leaf (when it comes to fur at least). Khloe Kardashian was recently spotted sporting a Laure Faux Fur Coate by Apparis whilst out and about in Los Angeles, and younger sisters, Kylie and Kendall Jenner recently launched a vegan fur line at Macy’s.

4. Bella Hadid

Like Grande, supermodel Bella Hadid is a fan of Marei 1998. Back in January last year, she was papped wearing an Echinacea calf-length eco-fur coat. According to the brand, the coat is a “winter-essential” “investment piece” great for layering.

5. Priyanka Chopra

Indian actress and singer Priyanka Chopra, who recently married Nick Jonas, is another fan of Marei 1998. Like Hadid, last year, the star wore the brand’s super stylish calf-length eco-fur coat. Unlike the supermodel, she opted for a sleek black design.

6. Pamela Anderson

Actress, activist, and passionate vegan Pamela Anderson loves animals and she loves fur, proving the two don’t have to be mutually exclusive. The star – who often campaigns for the rights of animals all over the world – even has her own collection of vegan fur coats, named Only Me by Pamela Anderson.

7.  Mya

Like Anderson, singer Mya is a passionate, outspoken vegan. She has even produced her own free online guide, designed to help people take their first steps into veganism. The star is also a huge faux fur and vegan fashion lover, regularly showing off her new finds on her social media accounts. In November, she joined a number of celebrities, including Evanna Lynch and Daniella Monet, for a PETA campaign, encouraging shoppers to ditch real leather, fur, and wool in favor of vegan alternatives.

8. Amy Adams

Singer Miley Cyrus is a keen advocate for veganism in all aspects of her life, but she particularly likes to champion vegan fashion. In London at the end of last year, whilst promoting her hit Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, she wore a warm, cozy and ultra stylish faux fur jacket by Vivienne Westwood. Vogue praised the look, noting it was “a peek at how we’ll all be dressing in the near future.”

10. Kim Kardashian

Another surprising entry from the Kardashian family. Back in May of last year, the second eldest sister of the famous reality TV family announced that, after wearing the real deal for years, faux was her “new thing.” She chose to ditch fur after friend Anderson wrote her a letter asking her to “be a hero for animals” and set “a great example to all your beautiful followers.”

11. Gisele Bündchen

Top supermodel Gisele Bündchen is no stranger to the covers of Vogue or activism. Back in 2018, she put the two together and appeared on the front cover of Vogue Paris in a huge faux fur coat, whilst cuddling a baby kangaroo. Bündchen stated that the cover aimed to send a “strong message that wearing real fur is never an option! All great designers now do beautiful [faux fur].”
