Cream liqueur is a staple in many-a holiday cocktail recipes. Baileys Irish Cream is possibly one of the most iconic brand out there, but up until 2017, when the brand launched its vegan Almande drink, anyone looking for a dairy-free cream liqueur was sadly left out. Now, other companies have joined in on offering rich, chocolaty, and vegan cream liqueurs.

With the holiday season in full effect, here are five dairy-free cream liqueurs to include in your festivities.

5 Dairy-Free Cream Liqueurs for Festive Vegan Holiday Cocktails

1. Baileys Almande

Baileys Irish Cream has been a staple in many liquor cabinets since its debut in 1974. In 2017, the iconic brand launched its vegan “Almande” liqueur, made dairy-free with the use of almond milk instead of cream. The new beverage was so popular that the launch was associated with the company’s revenue spike last December. Baileys recommends serving its Almande over ice, in spiced coffee, or in a dairy-free chilled cocktail.

Even with Baileys Almande in stores, you can make your own vegan Irish cream at home. This indulgent recipe combines homemade cashew milk with full-fat coconut milk, Irish whiskey, sweetener, and a touch of cocoa, instant coffee, and vanilla. Serve it on the rocks or in coffee or dairy-free hot cocoa.

Award-winning adult beverage brand Bom Bom offers two sweet, creamy, but dairy-free beverages. Its Nilli Vanilli “cream” liqueur is a vanilla cookie-flavored blend of Caribbean  run and almond milk. Its other offering, Half Baked, is the first hemp milk cream liqueur on the market. Inspired by the iconic Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor, this vegan creme liqueur is said to taste like brownies and cookies. While both seem designed to stand alone, Bom Bom also offers cocktail recipes on its website.
