It’s not something we often think about when we’re doing our grocery shopping. Animal Testing. Unfortunately even in the cosmetic and household/cleaning product industry, lab testing on animals is extremely common and for the most part, standard-industry-practice.
But why?
No useful knowledge can be gained from pouring bleach into the tear ducts of a bunny (a species whose genes, and subsequently their chemical reactions, are vastly different to ours). This alone makes animal-toxicity tests scientifically obsolete.
