Arnold Schwarzenegger just threw a special birthday party for his donkey, Lulu.

The actor posted a video on Twitter of himself singing “Happy Birthday” to the adorable donkey. “Are we not celebrating [your] birthday really great? Happy Birthday. You’re one year old today, Lulu, congratulations. You’re such a beautiful girl,” he said in the video.

We have a birthday today! Lulu turned one,” Schwarzenegger captioned in the Twitter post. “We celebrated by letting her fill herself up with goodies,” he added.

Schwarzenegger’s Vegan Coronavirus Lockdown

In addition to Lulu the donkey, the actor is staying home during the coronavirus lockdown with his companion animal Whisky—a miniature pony.

Last month, Schwarzenegger shared a video on Instagram that shows him feeding the animals carrots at his dinner table. In the video, he says: “I just had my little bit of vegan food.”

“See that is what we do. We don’t go out, we don’t go to the restaurants, we don’t do anything like that,” explained Schwarzenegger. “We just eat with Whisky and Lulu have a good time and be entertained and we have a good time eating here together!”

“Stay at home as much as possible. Listen to the experts, ignore the morons,” Schwarzenegger wrote in the caption.

“We will get through this together,” he added.

Schwarzenegger’s Vegan Diet

Although the former bodybuilder and filmstar hasn’t confirmed if he is vegan, he did co-produce and appear in the popular plant-based documentary “The Game Changers.”

In the film, the actor said: “I ate a lot of meat—I ate my ten, 15 eggs a day. I had my 250 grams of protein in a day because I weighed 250 pounds.”

“As I got older and I started reading up on it, I recognized the fact that you really don’t have to get your protein from meat—or from animals,” he continued. “So we started going more in the direction of a vegetarian kind of diet. Now we’re doing it the right way, with spices, and all of a sudden, I love it much more than the meat.”

Schwarzenegger revealed eating more plant-based foods helped him to lower his cholesterol levels. He has previously stated he enjoys eating plant-based products more than meat.
