Beyoncé’s Personal Trainer Reveals The Vegan Diet She Was ‘Crazy in Love’ With

Share

We have officially located the source of all Beyoncé’s powers. That’s right, you heard it here first. The thing that makes Beyoncé so wonderfully Beyoncé like is, in fact, the vegan diet she adopted for 22 days back in 2013 after the birth of her first daughter Blue Ivy. Absolutely nothing to do with talent, hard work or dedication, just meat-free protein and plant-based goodness. You are welcome.

Ok, so it might be a little short-sighted to promise Beyoncé levels of success through embracing a vegan diet. However, it may have helped her on her way to feeling a little stronger, healthier and a bit more nourished and that can’t be a bad thing, can it?

The star’s personal trainer and diet planner, Marco Borges, has recently revealed that Beyoncé’s 22-day vegan adventure consisted of foods such as banana and almond butter smoothies with protein powder and yummy greens, vanilla chia pudding, cinnamon toast with almond milk and plenty of the classic, kale.

Queen Bey also embraced some fellow royalty in the world of quick, easy and delicious vegan food, the timeless beauty that is pesto pasta. After all, who said being vegan means you can’t indulge in some Italian carb heaven?

The moral of the story is, we might not be able to hit the high notes or shimmy to crowds of thousands, but through embracing more plant based options we can all be a little bit more Beyoncé and in this sense, we’re on to a pretty great thing.
