Whoever said it was inconvenient to be vegan?
Plant Power Fast Food, describing themselves are the “future of fast food” with the mission of bringing wholesome dining options to the area, are stopping traffic in San Diego with their new fast-food drive-up eatery.
Following the popularity of Plant Power Fast Food’s flagship location in the Ocean Beach neighbourhood which opened at the start of 2016, the company has now opened its second location this week, taking over the space of a former Burger King in the city of Encinitas.
The location features an eight-car drive up, an outdoor seating and ‘living’ patio where fresh herbs and vegetables will be grown for use in the restaurant. Plant Power co-founder Zach Vouga said of the location, “[t]his is a perfect location for a healthy drive-thru restaurant. We’ve taken a former Burger King and transformed it into a convenient oasis to enjoy a delicious plant-based meal.”
And the menu sounds delicious. A huge range of veganised American classics is served, including milkshakes, burgers, sandwiches and of course a specific children’s menu.
Maybe one day all fast-food will be totally guilt-free!
