Nékter Juice Bar Launches Vegan Sea Salt Caramel and Coconut Matcha Ice Cream in 115 Locations

Southern California-based juice chain Nékter Juice Bar, which has 115 locations across the United States, has launched six new limited edition vegan ice creams.

Starting from July 16, a new flavor of the chain’s Skoop nondairy ice cream will be introduced each week until August 20 — the new ice creams will only be available until stock runs out. Vegan flavors include Coconut Matcha (July 23), Berry Hibiscus (July 30), Red Velvet (August 6), Fresh Strawberry (August 13), and Sea Salt Caramel (August 20). PB Brownie will also be available beginning on July 16; however, this flavor does contain honey.

“Not all vegan ice creams are created equal,” said the co-founder and CEO of Nékter Juice Bar, Steve Schulze, in a statement“Just as Nékter has reinvented the juice bar experience, we have redefined vegan ice cream with intense flavor, a lush creamy texture and the ability to handcraft it fresh each day. A truly healthy form of delicious indulgence, Skoop is the perfect summertime treat. We hope everyone will visit before the new flavors are all ‘skooped’ up.”

The vegan ice cream market is booming. Last November, Future Market Insights predicted that the global industry value would reach $2.45 billion by 2027 and the United States alone would make up $1 billion of this figure. This is all down to both an “increasing inclination” towards dairy-free products and the higher protein content of vegan ice cream, claimed the market research company. A rise in lactose intolerant consumers was also named as a key factor.

In addition to ice cream, Nékter Juice Bar, founded in 2010, also serves smoothies, juices, and acai bowls. The chain currently has shops in California, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Washington, North Carolina, and Nevada, but has plans to expand to 425 restaurants by 2020. The juice company is currently working on opening new locations in Georgia, Illinois, Florida, New Mexico, Ohio, and more.

“Nékter Juice Bar has entirely transformed the juice bar experience,” the company’s website reads. “Offering total ingredient transparency by eliminating hidden fillers, unnecessary sugars, processed ingredients, and artificial flavors from its entire menu.” It adds, “just clean, healthy eating that tastes just as good as it makes you feel.”
