Catherine Zeta-Jones just launched her own range of vegan leather shoes.
The shoe collection is part of the Academy Award-winning actor’s lifestyle brand, Casa Zeta-Jones. Zeta-Jones teamed up with British footwear brand Butterfly Twists to create the new range of vegan shoes.
Zeta-Jones told Artful Living that her affinity for shoes inspired her to create the collection. “I love all kinds of shoes. What woman doesn’t? It’s important to me that I can create something that is elegant and comfortable, and still at a great price point,” she said.
The actor first launched Casa Zeta-Jones in 2017. The brand originally featured home decor products. But Zeta-Jones said she grew the brand to encompass her love of fashion.
“I also wanted to expand my brand, Casa Zeta-Jones, into the fashion arena. So I’m starting from the ground up, literally. Butterfly Twists is a well-known shoe brand in England, and it is a global company with more than 67 territories. I wanted that kind of reach so I could provide my shoes to women everywhere,” she explained.
The exclusive collaboration with Butterfly Twists features bold designs reminiscent of Zeta-Jones elegant style.
“I love their brand and knew I could collaborate with them on something really fresh and different,” the actor said in a statement. She added: “Butterfly Twists is a vegan brand too. Vegan materials are so advanced and luxurious now it is difficult to tell the difference between real leather and vegan leather. I know that it’s an important consideration for many women and I’m happy I can create something that is sustainable without sacrificing style.”
The collection features a wide range of ballet flats and points, which feature a flexible sole for maximum comfort. The shoes are made with “premium vegan leather and other cutting edge eco-friendly textiles.”
In addition to the vegan shoe range, Casa Zeta-Jones will also feature a number of other products. “You can expect to see more in the fashion world and also in beauty. There are a few more unexpected surprises in store,” Zeta-Jones said.
The brand will also feature beauty, home and coffee, and apparel collections.
