Daiya Foods Launches Ready-To-Eat Vegan Cheese Sticks

Vegan brand, Daiya Foods, has announced the latest addition to its already extensive range of “deliciously dairy-free” cheese products. Vegan cheese sticks will join the range this summer, Daiya told LIVEKINDLY during the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California.

Free of dairy, soy, and gluten, the company’s brand-new Mozzarella Style Deluxe Cheeze Sticks, will be available in packets of six individually wrapped sticks and perfect for on-the-go snacking, lunchboxes, work desk snacks, or just for those days when you need a comforting, cheesy snack.

Vegan media publication VegNews shared the new plant-based cheese via its Instagram stories.

Initially founded in 2008, Canada-based Daiya has come on leaps and bounds since its startup. The brand is now one of the most well-known vegan cheese companies in the plant-based marketplace with over 30 different products now available.

The secret to Daiya’s success is, arguably, its ability to cater to everybody. “Crave without compromise. You may be lactose intolerant, allergic, vegan or simply living a healthy lifestyle, but don’t tell your taste buds that. They still want flavor,” the company state on their website.

Currently, Daiya’s dairy-style vegan cheese options include shreds, slices, blocks, and cream cheese. And pizza, cheezecake, and cheezy mac are just some of the pre-made meals the brand offers. Dressings, sauces, and Greek-style yogurt can also be found in its extensive range of vegan products.

Just last week, LIVEKINDLY reported that Daiya is expanding to a larger HQ and production facility east of Vancouver in Burnaby. With more space for offices and larger warehouses, the move is intended to help put the brand on track to generate a staggering $1 billion in revenue. Daiya plans to complete the move to their 400,000 square foot new home by 2020.

Our new headquarters represents a long-term investment in the future – not only for the Daiya brand but also for plant-based foods overall. Most importantly, it enables us to continue pioneering our delicious plant-based products for every part of the day and bringing the incredible benefits of a plant-forward lifestyle to more people around the globe,” CEO Terry Tierney said in a statement.
