Ripple Foods is an expert in the world of peas, yellow peas to be exact, and the production of pea milk specifically is their speciality. Their aim is to aid the vegan movement and make going dairy-free as simple and as healthy as it can possibly be, with their pea milk containing 8x more protein than almond milk, they’re definitely on to a winner.

Writing on their site, the company said, ‘we think good food should be simple. And for food to be good, we think it needs to taste great, nourish your body and leave a small footprint on the planet. When we make the right choice as easy as pouring a delicious glass of Ripple milk, we empower more people to eat and live well.’

With their attitude and passion for dairy free goodness, Ripple Foods have won over the support of the Goldman Sachs Group Inc who contributed to a huge investment into the company of $65 million. Other investors include Khosla Ventures, S2G Ventures and Fall Line Capital.

Kathy Elsesser, the global chair of consumer retail and health-care groups for Goldman Sachs said of the investment, ‘we are proud to invest in a company that has one of the fastest-growing plant-based product lines.’

The investment will make a huge difference to the company and bumps their total funding figure up to a staggering $110 million.
