Halo Top to Serve Vegan Ice Cream at Its Very First Scoop Shop

For all of you still holding onto summer, the ever-popular low-cal ice cream brand, Halo Top, says it is permanently extending the season with the opening of its first-ever brick and mortar ice cream shop in Los Angeles next week.

Break out the flip-flops (but maybe not the bikini?) and get in the queue on November 15th when the shop is set to open. The Halo Top Scoop Shop will be located inside the Westfield Topanga mall’s second floor dining terrace, and will serve several vegan options including made-to-order ice cream sandwiches with high protein vegan cookies. In September, Halo Top announced the launch of its first seven vegan flavors: cinnamon roll, peanut butter cup, chocolate covered banana, caramel macchiato, oatmeal cookie, sea salt caramel, and chocolate.

“These flavors can be spooned into a classic cup or topped on one of four new cones, including cake, sugar, waffle and a special Halo Top puffle cone,” the LA-based company said in a statement. “Additionally, guests can load up on specialty toppings, such as marshmallow sauce, fresh mango, mochi and shredded coconut to create a single, double or triple sundae.”

“Our goal with the Scoop Shop,” says Justin Woolverton, Halo Top Creamery founder and CEO, “is to let our fans add all the toppings they could possibly want to a soft serve version of Halo Top.” And our goal as fans is to do just that.
