International Vegan Food Festival Sets Attendance Record

Vegan Festival Breaks Attendance Records in 3 Cities

Vegan website and event producer Ecorazzi is reporting that its third season of the Vegan Food & Drink Festival brought in more than 35,000 attendees at three events this year.

The season kicked off with a bang at Chicago’s Grant Park in June. “The hot summer day welcomed thirst quenching drinks, our first oversees vendor, and a push-up contest that proved once and for all that vegans get enough protein,” Eva Lampert wrote on Ecorazzi. “Guests also got the first crack at our epic VEGAN sign, scales of justice, and other art installations around the park. The windy city may have huffed and puffed, but it was the crowd that blew us away.”

August saw close to 12,000 in Fort York, Toronto, the site’s hometown, and a record-breaking attendance of nearly 15,000 on October 1st at Randall’s Island in New York City.

“This fest was definitely the icing on the vegan cake, and a perfect way to end the season,” writers Lampert. “Everyone was excited to sample vegan wings from Chicago, local sandwich mash-ups, and the first pumpkin-spiced 10 Reasons (And Recipes) To Eat Pumpkin This Falldesserts of the season.”

The team is adding new cities for 2018’s line up, but be warned, “the vegan food hangover is real,” says Lampert, “and we’re counting down the days until we get to do it all over again.”
