Kylie Cosmetics’ Birthday Collection Is Dripping in Gold

The youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister turns 24 today. And that means one thing: a brand new drop from Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie Jenner’s birthday collection is all about shimmers, metallics, and above all else: gold.

Kylie Cosmetics’ 24K Birthday Collection channels elegance, luxury, and glamour, and thanks to a recent formula overhaul, it’s entirely vegan and cruelty-free. (Jenner revealed on social media in June that she was reformulating her entire brand “to elevate and join the vegan and clean family.”)

Jenner took to Instagram to announce the new range last week, with an image of her wearing only a g-string and gold body paint. She captioned the post: “Ahhh!!! my birthday is in 8 days!!! and of course, I had to celebrate with another bday collection! 24K gold theme for my 24th birthday launching on August 10th.”

Kylie Cosmetics also revealed the details of the new collection on its Instagram account. There’s the All Over Gloss, a golden shimmer that you can apply anywhere; the illuminating Good As Gold highlighter; and the Lip Shine Lacquer 4 Piece Set features peachy and warm pink nudes, as well as a brown nude and a pale pink beige shade.

And, of course, one of the stand-out pieces from the collection is a lip product. The 24K Gold Lip Serum is not only infused with hydrating and nourishing oils, but also contains flecks of 24 karat gold.

Billionaire beauty

The overarching theme of Jenner’s new collection is wealth, which isn’t surprising, considering it’s something the young beauty mogul has generated a lot of. In 2019, Forbes declared her a billionaire (although the prestigious business publication has since retracted the claim, pointing to the reality TV star’s “web of lies.”)

Controversial billionaire status aside, there’s no doubt that for celebs, the beauty industry is a huge money-maker. (In fact, Rihanna’s cruelty-free cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty just made her a bonafide billionaire.)
