“Vegan for life!” is the way Miley captioned her Instagram shot of her new ink earlier this week.

The Vegan Society‘s sunflower logo accompanies Miley’s collection of  bodily ‘bumperstickers’, sitting discreetly on the underside of her arm.

With her new “Vegan Society Approved” stamp located close to tattoos of her dog, “Emu” and her late blowfish “Pablow”, it is clear to see that Miley is a true animal lover. She even spoke publicly about her decision to go vegan for the animals (and her love of pigs) in a television interview with Jimmy Fallon.

Miley went vegan in 2014 and has since advocated vegan living to her social media followers with her ethical lifestyle choices. Things like adopting rescue beagles from laboratories, publicly slamming the fur industry, and speaking out against hunters who claim to be animal lovers.

Her former partner, Liam Hemsworth is also vegan, once stating that “There are no negatives to eating like this. I feel nothing but positive, mentally and physically. I love it. I feel like it also has a kind of a domino effect on the rest of my life.”

The number of Hollywood stars adopting a vegan or plant based lifestyle is no doubt seeing an increase, although whether this has any impact on the movement is difficult to detect. For example, the likes of Beyoncé’s half hearted attempt at adopting a vegan diet could make veganism seem like a trendy weight-loss fad.

Thankfully however, it seems like Miley isn’t just doing this for health, and instead sits among outspoken high profile vegans such as Kat Von D, Morrissey, Moby, Steve-O, Joaquin Phoenix and many others who are use their celebrity status to influence the way their fans think about animal products.

“So many good plants/fruits/veggies to eat you ain’t gottttta eat dead animals! Everything that goes into my body is aliiiiivvvve! To keeeep ME alive! Love this life!
