New French-Inspired Vegan Bakery Opens in Miami Beach

New vegan bakery, L’Artisane Creative Bakery, is due to open in Miami Beach this week.

Founded by chef Carolina Molea and inspired by her many trips to France, the new bakery will offer a wide selection of traditional French treats made vegan. Croissants, pain au chocolat, petits gateaux as well as an assortment of muffins and cookies are just some of the delights Molea and her team plan to offer their new customers.

With her previous training in French cuisine, Molea plans on “surprising and conquering even the most selective palates.” Writing on their brand-new website, the team at L’Artisane state they intend to “blend traditional techniques with science to achieve the highest standards, using only the finest ingredients to offer a wide selection of sweet delights.”

A variety of savory options will also be available such as sandwiches, salad bowls, and quiches. Each dish, sweet or savory, will be made fresh each day and 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

“With every trip to France, my love grew fonder and my dream started to take shape. I realized that there was a demand in Miami that was not being satisfied, and L’Artisane was born,” Molea said in an interview with VegNews. She added, “I believe that we all have a chance to make an impact, and be active in saving animal lives, helping the planet and improving our health. This is the way I do activism, through my recipes, through my flavors and creations.”

Miami Beach and the surrounding area is quickly becoming a vegan hotspot, with the city of Miami reaching the number nine position on Harris Poll’s list of most vegan-friendly cities in the U.S. last year. Renowned vegan chef and founder of the popular vegan chain by CHLOE, Chloe Coscarelli, has recently opened up a new venture in St Roch Market, Miami. The new plant-based eatery will be named Chef Chloe and the Vegan Café.
