Watch Paul Rudd Eat All the Vegan Wings on ‘Hot Ones’

American actor, comedian, and screenwriter Paul Rudd just dominated the “Hot Ones” challenge while eating vegan wings. More celebrities are choosing the meat-free option on the show.

“Hot Ones” is an interview web series hosted by Sean Evans. Evans asks his celebrity guests questions while they eat wings, which are usually made from chicken. The wings are coated in a hot sauce that gets hotter for each round.

Rudd chose to eat vegan cauliflower wings for his segment. “I’m actually not a vegetarian but I’m trying to become better,” the actor said.

Rudd completed 10 rounds. He finished off the episode with a “historic dab” whereby the actor mixed all 10 hot sauces together in a puddle and dipped a meat-free wing into it.

Plant-based foods have been a staple in Rudd’s diet for some time. When filming the 2015 “Ant-Man” movie, Rudd enjoyed daily protein shakes made with banana, almond butter, almond milk, and ice.

Vegan actor Alicia Silverstone said that when she and Rudd caught up for dinner, he ordered plant-based food, too. “Such a sweet reunion last night at dinner with my pal #PaulRudd,” Silverstone posted online earlier this year. “I love this guy! I mean he ordered vegan for both of us… Swoon.”

Vegan ‘Hot Ones’

Rudd joins a growing list of celebrities who have feasted on vegan wings for their “Hot Ones” segment. Vegetarian actor Kristin Bell joined the club in August when she opted for the meat-free wings.

Bell told Evans that she was “impressed” that he had a meat-free option on the show. He responded, “I’m very on the, you know, if you can do two days a week vegan or whatever. It’s not good for the environment, you have all these farms or whatever, you eat so much terrible stuff.”

“So I think that it’s good not to have the wing thing all the time,” he added.

Vegan musician Billie Eilish took on all 10 spicy wings earlier this year and came back for seconds. The 17-year-old used soy milk to cool the effects of the vegan hot wings.

Natalie Portman, Ricky Gervais, Alexa Chung, Jeff Goldblum, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Russell Brand, and Vanessa Hudgens have all chosen to eat vegan wings on the show.
