Thanksgiving Green Beans With Spicy Almond Butter Drizzle

Ingredients:

200g green beans washed and chopped
1 tbsp flaked almonds
Salt & pepper
A sprinkle of chili flakes

For the almond butter drizzle: 

2 tbsp unsweetened almond butter
Juice of ½ lemon
A pinch of salt
1 tsp hot sauce
1-2 Tbsp water 

Preparation:

  1. Heat 200-300ml of water in a large saucepan, place a steamer basket on top, and steam your green beans for 4-5 minutes until luscious and green.
  2. In the meantime, whisk up your sauce: add the almond butter, lemon juice, salt, hot sauce, and water into a small bowl and whisk to combine until smooth.
  3. Drizzle the spicy almond butter over the beans, sprinkle with the almond flakes, and serve.
