Vegan Breakfast? You Can Finally Have One at Tiffany's

It should take you exactly four seconds to jump out of your seat and head to New York City this Friday…but of course, “I’ll give you two.”

“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” fans, the wild ones, anyway, are likely already holding court outside the iconic NYC jeweler for a chance to have real breakfast at Tiffany’s, when the retailer’s first restaurant opens this week.

That’s right, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” no longer means you curled up alone (with a cat, of course) on the couch with a vegan Halo Top pint on a Saturday night. You can instead put on that LBD and go and enjoy your misery at the aptly named Blue Box Café, which will be located on the fourth floor of the jewelry retailer, dressed in its famous shade of Tiffany Blue.

And while Holly Golightly, Fred (and definitely Cat), may not have been vegan, there are plenty of plant-based treats on the menu to chase away the “Mean Reds”. Today’s “stylish girl” can munch on a roasted cauli and Romanesco salad, avocado toast, fresh berries, or hummus and olive tapenade sandwiches at high tea. (“Didn’t I tell you that this was a wonderful place?”)

No need for mere window shopping anymore — but don’t expect the Blue Box meals to sate your Hepburn craving for the cost of an engraved Cracker Jack ring. Breakfast at Tiffany’s will set you back a pretty penny– $29 for breakfast, $39 for lunch, and $49 for high tea.

As Miss Golightly famously said: “Did I tell you how divinely and utterly happy I am?”
