Popbar, a spot popular for its customizable popGelato, vegan popSorbetto, and yogurtPops (all served on sticks), is opening its first Texas location. The new store will not only be the first in Texas, but will also be the largest Popbar yet. The company, which was founded in 2010 in New York, will house its new bar in the Houston area of Baybrook Mall.
There will be an official opening ceremony on Saturday, November 18 meaning that people will have to wait just a little longer. The opening ceremony includes fun prizes like free pops to the first 100 customers and even more excitingly, free Popbar treats for an entire year!
Popbar products come in over 40 rotating flavors, ranging from Chocolate, Vanilla, Green Tea, Passionfruit, Watermelon, and Pumpkin. Add some dips and toppings to the wide variety of flavors and you end up with a highly customizable dessert.
Franchisee Vanitha Pothuri spoke of their excitement about the new Houston location. “We are thrilled to be bringing this delicious frozen treat concept to Houston. The flavor profiles of the handcrafted, all natural pops are so delectable. They’re truly irresistible and the joy of customizing makes the experience even sweeter, literally,” they began. “My favorite flavor is definitely Gianduia! It’s the perfect mix of chocolate and hazelnut and oh so yummy, especially dipped in milk chocolate with crushed waffle cone.”
The popSorbettos are all vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free and the popGelatos and yogurtPops are gluten-soy free.
