Veggie Grill Launches New Vegan Winter Menu

Veggie Grill, the popular west-coast vegan fast casual chain, has launched its seasonal winter menu, bringing new meaning to comfort food.

The wide-ranging seasonal menu offers diners a Meatballs and Polenta Bowl, XX Fire-Roasted Chikin’ Burrito, Southeast Asian Lettuce Wraps, a Lucky Star Burger featuring the meatless Beyond Burger patty that “bleeds” like conventional burgers, a Chikin’ Milanese Salad, Southern Spicy Fried Chikin’ Butternut Velvet Soup, Turkey Dinner Sandwich, and a mini Pumpkin Bundt Cake.

Jingle bells or dinner bell? ? Either way, we’re ringing in the holidays with our NEW Winter Menu, starting today!” the chain wrote on its Instagram feed yesterday.

And the menu, as decadent as it sounds, is actually a great way to ring in the new year if health goals top your 2018 resolutions. The plant-based menu features fiber-rich vegetables, beans, and grains, as well as good-for-you plant proteins like the pea-protein-based Beyond Burger.

A diet rich in plant-based foods has been linked to numerous health benefits including a reduced risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and some forms of cancer. Earlier this week, the American Diabetes Association gave another nod to the benefits of a plant-based diet as part of an overall lifestyle management strategy.

Veggie Grill has 30 locations in California, Oregon, Washington, and Illinois.
