November is World Vegan Month, and this year it’s turning into a brilliant series of exciting treats, the latest being the news that Whole Foods Markets in London will be hosting exclusive pop-up lunches!
Oumph!, the award-winning plant-based meat producers, who recently started stocking their products at Whole Foods, will hit the markets this month to show off their soya-bean based deliciousness.
The company prides itself on being both transformative in terms of changing cultural eating habits, and also on creating a unique product: “[w]e are convinced that a great taste experience is key to a food culture where there’s enough food to go around for everyone, even when there are nine billion people on earth. That’s why we created Oumph! With it’s completely unique structure and texture, it’s unlike anything else from the plant kingdom.”
The Oumph! products, which are completely vegan and free from gluten and nuts, come in three varieties: The Filet, The Strip and The Chunk.
The products are made of only simple ingredients – soya protein concentrate, salt and water – and then some products are seasoned to create variety.
For example, Spicy Oumph! is an entire range seasoned with spice mixes. The resulting products are Pulled Oumph!, Thyme & Garlic, Kebab Spiced, Salty & Smoky, Tandoori BBQ, Tarragon & Lemon, Grill Spiced and Bibim Oumph!
Who said vegan food had to be bland?
Conveniently, these soya products are suitable to grill, fry, boil, sauté or even heat over an open fire if you’re planning a camping trip!
So, if you fancy lunching on these amazing foods, get yourself down to a Whole Foods Market this November!
